A DLP machine, not an LCD one: The ELEGOO MARS 4 uses TI (Texas Instruments) DLP technology to project the 405 nm beam straight onto the bottom of the resin tank, with light uniformity up to 95%. Tempered glass takes the place of a traditional LCD screen and reaches up to 95% light transmittance, cutting diffusion and stray light. Full-gray antialiasing also softens jagged edges, so surfaces come out smoother.
2W+ hours of projector life: The DLP projector runs for 20,000+ hours, roughly 10 times the 2,000 hours you'd get from an LCD screen. That adds up to real savings on replacement screens.
Low power, quiet running: Operating power is 12W, about 1/7 of what an LCD printer draws. Less power means less heat, so no cooling fan is needed and print noise stays below 48 dB.
Thicker Z-axis rail: The Z-axis linear rail goes from 15 mm to 20 mm, which damps vibration during Z movement and reduces layer patterning. A sandblasted build plate surface adds grip for a better success rate.
Voxeldance Tango slicing: Pick static mode or dynamic mode (smooth and high-speed). Dynamic mode adjusts print speed to the cross-sectional size of the model, easing release force and speeding things up. ELEGOO also developed the open-source GOO slicing format, which works with multiple slicers without restriction.
Cleaner air while printing: A USB-powered air purifier with built-in activated carbon absorbs resin odor. There's also the upcoming ELEGOO first large air purifier (247*210*410 mm), built for the photocuring field, which removes formaldehyde and up to 80% of VOC.
