Klipper firmware ships pre-installed. A quiet Klipper motherboard runs alongside an ARM 64-bit 1.5G quad-core processor, which is enough headroom for speeds up to 500mm/s (250mm/s is the recommended setting). Input shaping and pressure advance are both supported, so walls stay smooth at speed. The 8GB RAM holds a pile of models for quick recall.
The extruder runs a 5.2:1 reduction ratio for steady, even extrusion. A copper-titanium bi-metal throat pipe and a redesigned air duct work together on heat dissipation, which cuts down on nozzle clogs.
With the hotend reaching 300°C, you can run PLA, PETG, ABS, TPU and higher-temperature materials such as nylon. The extended hot end design keeps heating consistent and melts filament faster, which feeds straight into print speed.
Power output sits at 100W+150W. During slicing, the software reads the model size and switches on the outer heating zone whenever the part is bigger than the 120mmx120mm center zone. Both partitions can also be toggled by hand for tighter temperature control, and the PEI magnetic platform is marked to help you line things up.
121 (11x11) points are probed automatically, so repeatable first layers come without the paper-and-feeler ritual. Hand-twist knobs let you nudge the bed further if a particular print calls for it.
Two thickened double-sided 4015 ball bearing cooling fans sit alongside 4x4020 ball bearing blower fans behind the print head. Fresh layers cool quickly from every direction, which keeps warping down even when you push the speed up.ELEGOO
