This PLA+ starts as American Natureworks 4032D raw material, a grade chosen for low warpage and shrink plus an odorless run at the nozzle. Printability shows up on the first layer and stays there.
Toughness is the point of the plus. Compared with standard PLA, ELEGOO PLA+ takes a harder hit and bends further before it cracks or deforms, and the improved cooling keeps overhangs cleaner, so suspended models finish more often instead of drooping.
Layer bonding holds tight. Deposition stays accurate and the thermoforming dimensions barely move, which means you get a glossy, smooth surface with no delamination and a low printing temperature that's easy on most hotends.
The spool itself gets the same care. Full mechanical winding, a secondary sub-winding pass and a manual inspection leave the line laid neatly across the reel, cutting down crossed turns, snags and the breakage that follows.
Strict tolerances keep feeding steady: these 1.75mm PLA+ filaments hold a dimensional accuracy of +/- 0.02mm, so flow into the extruder stays even from start to end of a spool.
Each reel is fully dried before packing, then vacuum sealed with desiccant to keep moisture and dust out. No clogs, no bubbles. It runs on most 1.75mm FDM 3D printers on the market.
