OwlBot is the tank kit aimed at older builders: children over 13, or anyone who wants a programmable robot with a bit more under the shell. Open resources are free of charge, so the learning material won't run dry.
Building it yourself sharpens concentration and hands-on ability, and the finished tank is compatible with Lego blocks if you want to extend the bodywork.
Graphical programming gives you special building-block functions, and the range of car functions is there to push creativity and imagination rather than just tick boxes.
Pair it over Bluetooth, open the Arduino® IDE, and start with line-tracking. The 1:78 gear motor makes the tank feel deliberate on the floor rather than twitchy.
